Amman, Jordan (August 2026) –Run Jordan has officially opened registration for the 16th edition of the Bromine Amman Marathon 2026, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Firas bin Raad and scheduled to take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, under the slogan “Run in the Heart of Amman.”
Run Jordan invited runners from Jordan and around the world to register and take part in the event, which annually brings together professional and amateur runners of different ages and abilities for a unique sporting experience through the streets of the capital, while promoting Amman as a destination for sports and tourism.
The 16th edition holds particular significance following the Amman Marathon’s achievement of the World Athletics Road Race Label 2026, alongside the Red Sea Half Marathon. This milestone reflects the continued development of the organizational and technical standards of Run Jordan’s races and strengthens Jordan’s presence on the international road running calendar.
Registration this year is available through an upgraded system integrated with the Civil Status and Passports Department, designed to ensure the accuracy of participants’ information, streamline registration procedures, and further advance Run Jordan’s digital services while enhancing the runners’ experience from registration through race day.
Ms. Lina El Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, stated that the opening of registration marks a new stage in preparations for the 16th edition, inviting runners of all levels and abilities to be part of the event.
El Kurd added that the Amman Marathon’s international label represents an important milestone in the event’s journey and provides further momentum to enhance the participant experience and continue raising the marathon’s organizational and technical standards in line with international requirements, while strengthening Jordan’s position as a destination for runners from the region and around the world.
The Bromine Amman Marathon 2026 will feature the 42.195 km Individual Marathon, the 42.195 km Relay Marathon, the 21 km Half Marathon, and the 10 km Race, in addition to dedicated categories for persons with disabilities.
Run Jordan confirmed that participants can register online through the official registration website or in person at Run Jordan’s office in Amman, providing convenient options for those wishing to participate.
Run Jordan also offers a delivery service for participants who register online, providing greater convenience and flexibility and making the registration and race preparation process easier for runners.
